Multi-vendor Multilingual App
A multi-vendor marketplace app with multilingual UI, multiple payment rails and merchant onboarding.
Project Background & Client Needs
The client is a trading company running cross-border e-commerce alongside local lifestyle services, planning a proprietary marketplace connecting overseas brands with local consumers. Complexity concentrated in three areas: multi-vendor onboarding with independent settlement, multilingual interfaces for different countries, and multiple payment rails where international card schemes coexist with local wallets. Standard SaaS mall products couldn't satisfy all three simultaneously, so the client chose Juhui Software for custom development.
Multi-Vendor Marketplace App Solution Overview
Juhui Software delivered a multi-vendor, multilingual, multi-payment marketplace app with an architecture of a consumer app (iOS/Android), a merchant console and a platform operations console. Merchants self-onboard, manage products and orders, and settle independently; the platform uniformly audits qualifications and configures commission rules. The system ships multilingual packs and multi-currency display, aggregating mainstream international and local payment methods, with orders, after-sales and splitting running platform-wide for compliant multi-region operations.
Core Feature Modules
- Multi-vendor onboarding — merchants submit qualifications for review, then open stores with independent storefront styling and product management.
- Multilingual & multi-currency — UI language and currency adapt by region, with product content maintained per language.
- Aggregated payments — international card schemes plus local wallets, with smart routing by success rate.
- Splitting & settlement — order amounts split automatically per commission rules with clear merchant statements.
- Full order & after-sales flows — group buying, coupons and refund protection built in.
- Operations analytics — GMV, repurchase rate and merchant sell-through dashboards.
Technical Architecture Highlights
The platform follows a dual-sided platform-merchant architecture, keeping product, order and settlement data strictly isolated yet centrally orchestrated. The internationalization layer uses key-value language packs distributed dynamically via CDN, so adding a language requires no app release. Multi-currency display and FX conversion run in a dedicated service using high-precision fixed-point arithmetic to eliminate rounding errors. The payment gateway aggregates multiple rails with intelligent routing by historical success rate and fees, auto-switching on failure; the splitting engine works with licensed institutions for compliant fund distribution across regions.
Launch Results & Data
After launch, the marketplace onboarded several hundred merchants in its first cohort. Multilingual versions carried the platform smoothly into multiple non-English markets, and local payment rails noticeably reduced checkout drop-off among local users. Smart payment routing keeps overall success rates stably high, merchant settlement cycles are transparent and predictable, and merchant satisfaction and renewal rates remain strong. Platform GMV grows quarter over quarter, marketing tools keep lifting repurchase rates, and the client has started phase-two development covering social sharing and live-commerce modules.
