Technician Home-Service Mini-Program
Home-service booking mini-program with scheduling, dispatch and review loop.
Project Background & Client Needs
The client is a comprehensive home-service provider covering housekeeping and equipment repair, with over a hundred technicians across twenty-plus categories. The old model relied on phone intake and WeChat-group dispatch: bookings got lost, technician routes overlapped, arrival windows were unpredictable and service quality went unrecorded, keeping complaints high. They wanted an online platform closing the loop across booking, dispatch, on-site work, acceptance and review.
Home-Service Booking Mini-Program Solution Overview
Juhui Software built a custom technician home-service mini-program system with a three-tier architecture: a customer mini program, a technician workbench and an operations console. Users book by service category and time slot; the system matches technicians using location distance and skill tags. The technician side supports order acceptance, navigation, on-site LBS check-in and e-signature confirmation. The platform aggregates reviews and completion photos into per-technician quality profiles, fully digitizing what used to be an offline, experience-driven scheduling process.
Core Feature Modules
- Category-based online booking — users order by service type, address and time slot with add-ons and notes.
- Smart dispatch engine — automatic matching by location plus skill tags, in both grab and assign modes.
- On-site LBS check-in — technicians check in via location, eliminating false arrival reports.
- E-signature acceptance — customers sign off digitally on completion, basis for settlement and after-sales.
- Review loop — completion photos and star ratings build quality profiles that influence dispatch weighting.
- Warranty & re-visits — warranty tracking auto-issues follow-up tickets for problem jobs.
Technical Architecture Highlights
The dispatch engine weighs real-time technician location, skill tags, current load and historical ratings to compute the best match, assigning new orders within milliseconds. The technician workbench uses LBS geofencing to verify on-site arrival, with location data desensitized and used only for check-in validation. A single order state machine spans booking, rescheduling, arrival, acceptance, review and after-sales, e-signatures use tamper-evident storage, and standard APIs are reserved for future ERP and finance integration.
Launch Results & Data
After launch, dispatch moved fully from human judgment to location-plus-tag smart matching, cutting average response time from hours to minutes and raising technicians' daily effective orders noticeably. On-site check-in and e-signature drove service disputes down sharply, and the review loop keeps technician quality trending upward with steadily rising approval ratings. Warranty tracking makes re-visits timely, and both repurchase and referral rates have grown. The client has since extended the platform to two new lines: appliance cleaning and commercial janitorial services.
